Welcome to the Web site of world renowned author, Cynthia D Leavitt. Ah, that is funny. Someday, maybe! But for now, I am sharing what so many women have spurred me to share. As the Lord has brought me through some tough things in my life, just as He has you, I write or journal through them. My writing often ends up in the form of poetry. I didn't plan it that way nor did I ever get an A in any writing class that I have ever been in. But, the power of the Holy Spirit is life altering and has changed my life drastically. He has held me when no one else was there to do so. He has encouraged me when I thought I was losing my mind. He is the Mighty Counselor. He is my Jehovah Jireh. This is my first offering of several books that I have written. The others will come later. Te'lah's Awakenings is a progressive book written from the foundations of finding my identity in Christ to waking up and walking with the authority that is my (our) heritage. My next book has the frame work on paper but it is completed in my head. It is a funny book for married men. Or, at least my husband has sure laughed a lot as he has sat by me while I was writing it. It will not be out for a few months but I will whet your appetite with the title. (Every woman will want to buy this for her husband) The title: Great Sex is Like a Great Burger! It is a picture analogy for men to understand the female mind a little better. Freedoms is Christ are certain to out do the Venus vs Mars book. Yes, I can see that it will be on the Oprah book of the month list and the shelves at Costco and they will not be able to keep it in stock because it will be such a hot seller. Every man that loves his wife deeply (or wants to love his wife deeply) wants to understand her more intimately. I am married to one of those. I told my husband, Mike, that his name should be on the front cover along with mine and he threatened me with much pain if his name was anywhere in it. So... I had to create a fake husband for my story. No.. I am kidding but the love and tender heart of my husband of almost 27 years along with the healing touch of my Abba Father has brought much healing and revelation to what true intimacy is. What fun we get to have when we walk in the freedom that only Christ can bring.
